May's Writing Prompts

Use the following in whatever way you want:

 

1. Easter Goddess  [this is the theme of your story or poem, or it should be a major element in your piece - but it doesn't have to be supernatural - it could be the name of a pub or shop or novel, or a nickname for somone, for instance]

 

2. ‘Why is it always you?' [you have to include this bit of speech somewhere in your story]

 

3. A story entitled ‘Eggs’

 

4. A story including some reference to one or two of the following: chocolate, daffodils, a sycamore tree, copper, the colour pink, ostriches, an old book, a lake.

 

5. Look through a newspaper (local ones are good for this) and find a story that catches your imagination. Use it as inspiration for your own fictional story, changing names and details. You should use it as a starting point, rather than using every detail, as your story should remain a work of fiction.
