Here are my latest paintings and drawings - these are all practices in my sketchbook or on scraps of paper, so they're not very good, but I'm recording them here so I can look back and see whether I can discern any improvement [or any worsening]:

Yes, I agree - the abstract patterns are really just idle doodles but they are making me feel more in 'the zone'.
